I stopped in to Lasalle in search of last minute gifts, having googled “candles near me” while traveling back from a job site in Peoria to my home in Rockford. Wanting to avoid the crowds of my hometown, I found a shop in Lasalle. While I did indeed find my homemade candles, I asked the staff if there was anyplace to find men’s clothes, as I wanted to pickup a few things for my fiancé. They suggested “That Guy’s Secret”, which was just a couple blocks away. If you’ve never been to this part of Lasalle, you may be surprised to find a lot of very nice shops in the historic downtown area. “That Guy’s Secret” fit the theme of finer shops perfectly, offering very nice quality clothing at good prices. I bought a plaid jacket-type shirt, a pullover and two coordinating short sleeve shirts, all of which could be combined for several different outfits. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I would definitely stop in again for clothing from casual to formal.

I just need a suit, a good suit, and I need it quickly, I need it to be exactly what I need. Can I get that? Yep. That Guy's Secret was a phenomenal experience from the moment I walked in. Peggy was a delight to work with, got me measured up and ready to rock within minutes. She knew exactly what I needed and got me set up. Having not been in a suit in years, it was awesome to be able to describe my need and have that need met within minutes. I'll be back for my next suit and all of my formal wear needs. Update - I've gone back a few times and now I'm dialed in with Jeremy. He's got my measurements and my tastes. I've got a partner that will help me look my best at every occasion.
